The City So Nice, They Named It Twice.

The Big Apple, The City Of Dreams, The City That Never Sleeps. These are just a few of the many names that my (hopefully) future home-city is known by. Still doesn’t ring a bell? What if I say most of you probably refer to it as New York City?

I took this when I visited NYC in summer ’18

Why I love New York City

Ever since the first time I visited NYC, I’ve been in love with it. If you ever get to go, you’ll feel and see how special it is. Even though I’ve been there a countless number of times, I feel so lucky, and find it more beautiful each time! Every time I visit, I find it harder to leave, and that’s how I knew I had found my dream home. Some people might not like New York, but I think it’s beautiful, and so exciting! Especially since I plan on travelling a lot, NYC is the place for me. It’s where all the fun happens, and if you’re lucky enough, maybe you’ll spot a Kardashian roamin’ around. But, everyone has there own preferences!

Tips on how you can find your Ideal City/Why NYC is the Place for me and could be the Place for you:

  • Climate; This is one of the most significant characteristics to have in mind when you’re making an important life decision like this! I love New York weather! It’s basically the same weather that we have here in Ontario, so I wouldn’t feel out-of-place there. And yeah, I am not a fan of winter, but I am used to it and I might start to miss it. Plus, snow in New York City is a sight to see!
  • Food! I don’t know about you all, but food is my top priority. I love the food in NYC, there’s many different types of foods you can try there. The diversity there, is what I admire most about New York, which is also something to consider.
  • Topography; The geographic features of a place are important to remember too. Personally, I don’t find it too significant because as I said earlier, I plan on travelling a ton, so I forget about topography, but it may be something you want to think about.
  • The shops and the style of the place might be something you want to consider as well! There are lots of shops in NYC and they are great places to explore! There isn’t just one style in New York, but there are many varieties of different styles and themes that are most admirable! Also, NYC is packed with interesting and fun attractions to visit!

Obviously, there are lots of other things you should give thought to, but these were just some things I thought about.

Honestly, the most important thing to remember is: Do what makes you happy! It’s real cheesy, but it’s also very true and crucial. So, choose someplace that’ll make sure you’re always thriving and living your best life, while being happy, of course!

Thank you for visiting

  1. Wow Aymann! I’ve totally wanted to live in New York for the past few years, but it’s super hard to afford! If I can save more money, New York would be my #1 place to live. Thanks for providing reasons; it will help me make up my mind.

  2. I loved this Aymann! I’ve never been to New York City, I’ve always wanted to and after reading this I now want to go even more! I didn’t know that the climate in New York City was similar to Ontario, but I’m really glad it is because I love the weather here with the balance of both summer and winter days!

  3. Aymann this was AMAZING!! I love hearing about how passionate you are about New York! I love that you also included some ways to find your possible dream city because I don’t know where I would want to love in the future. Maybe I can think about the climate or the food there like you described.

  4. This is a amazing and a very helpful blog! You did a great job describing how to find the perfect city and can’t wait to find mine, well I already have because it’s NYC! I’ve made this decisions with the helpful tips you gave me and my major one is climate. As much as I love summery weather, I will definitely miss Ontario because of winter so I”d love New York as it’s similar to Ontario which is where I lived my whole life so I can adapt to NYC quickly. Lastly, the food! I love the foods in Ontario but there isn’t much variety, the restaurants mostly the same everywhere. And since NYC has many options and variety, its not the same everywhere its better for my family and it’s something my family and I always argue you but in NYC with so many options we won’t. lol! Good job!
