Maybe you’re in the car or air plane, and you’re sitting there thinking, it’s getting a bit chilly in here, but you realize that you forgot to bring something to keep you warm. I know that was me and frankly, if it sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place because I’m going to tell you everything you’ll need for that long ride that stands between you and your vacay.

Some Carry-Bag Essentials you may want to have with you on your long ride:

  • Unless you’re journey is really short, you should really consider bringing a toothbrush, toothpaste, facial wipes and any other hygiene products. Makeup products too, if you want but I recommend no make up on the ride – you want to be as comfortable as it gets.
  • Mainly if you’re on a plane, you should bring a scarf – It’ll keep you warm when it gets cold, and if it’s warm take it off! Or wear layers.
  • Bring lotion and lip balm – You’ll probably (definitely) need it.
  • A water bottle – Stay hydrated!
  • Wallet!
  • Small snacks – Never travel hungry.
  • Sanitizing wipes are a big help, tissues too.
  • An eye mask for a good sleep.
  • Earplugs – You may desperately need them.
  • Don’t forget your phone and your charger – A dead phone is the last thing you want.
  • Bring headphones – Music or downloaded movies are great for passing the time.
  • If you’re travelling by car, train etc. or even a plane without a t.v. you may get bored out of your mind, so bring entertainment!

Some Entertainment!

  • Tablet / Ipad
  • Laptop, if you need it
  • Phone; Download no-wifi games, music, movies, shows, books etc.
  • Magazines
  • Books – trust me, even if you aren’t really a bookworm you’ll be glad you brought one with you
  • Sketch book / colouring book – If you love art, or don’t it’ll be fun!
  • Note book if you’re into writing

But of course, you’re all set if there’s a t.v. on your air plane!

I hope this helped you out. Have a safe and fun trip!

  1. Aymann, thank you for this post!! Next time I go travelling I will refer to your list it has everything you need. I always seem to forget something, or not know what to bring for entertainment.
